Meet Sir John & Lady Jane at Dorking Pippbrook car park by 10.15am all ready to leave at 10 30am. There will be a second chance to join the ride at the Felbridge Hotel, on the A22 London Road north of East Grinstead; please be ready to join the others by 11.00am.

Nestling within the Sussex countryside is a 15th century moated castle - Herstmonceux Castle. It is here, in this truly magical setting, that history comes to life. Held annually since 1992 over August Bank Holiday Weekend, England's Medieval Festival at Herstmonceux Castle is Britain's largest three day celebration of the Middle Ages!

Over 1000 Knights, Bowmen and Men-at-Arms will lay siege to the Castle - England's largest medieval battle with full cannon support.

Activities and entertainments for the whole family: mounted Skill-at-Arms Tournaments, Falconry displays, Longbow Competition, Have-A-Go-Archery, Archery Displays, spectacular Grand Parades, Puppeteers, Jesters, Strolling Minstrels, Europe's largest Medieval Traders Row, fabulous Craft Stalls, Living History Encampments,  Hog Roast, historic Walled Gardens

29th August – Friday Evening – Midnight Madness

Meet the Davids2 from 7.30pm for an 8pm start from Hampton Court Railway Station car park on the A309. Take a slow ride via the Kings Road stop for coffee at the ‘Duke of York’s Square’. Carry on up to Canary Wharf via the Embankment, St Paul’s, City of London etc. We will finish up at our old favorite Covent Garden for food/drink whatever you fancy. Reform at 11.30 pm for the final leg to Big Ben for the Midnight Chimes. Back home via The Tate, Kings Road, Putney and then onto the A3 where we can all go our own way.  We will not do the ride if it is raining please check the ‘Hot Line’ if the weather looks at all doubtful.
